5 Palram Carports with helpful reviews
Palram Arcadia 5000 Carport Review
This Palram Arcadia carport is very reasonably priced. With its stylish and heavy-duty dark grey design it will catch your eye instantly.
The polycarbonate roof panels are virtually unbreakable and are great at keeping snow, rain, hail, sun – basically all weather – off your car. Ideal for year-round use.
The anchoring kit included helps to increase your certainty that this carport is built to last, so you won’t need to worry about replacing it for a long time.
With a gutter on either side, this ensures that any rainfall, no matter how heavy, is free to flow off the roof panels preventing any unnecessary pooling in the roof section.
With dimensions of 5.02m x 3.62m x 2.42m the vast majority of cars will fit comfortably underneath the carport without issue.
The size actually allows for some wriggle room when parking your car beneath it. This is so you can park your car safely without risking damaging it or the structure.
Galvanised Steel Frame
The frame is a robust galvanised steel, which means it’s sturdy, weather and rust-resistant. There’s no maintenance required once you’ve built the carport.
The frame is attached to the ground by 6 poles, which provides a secure base for the rest of the frame. This means that the frame is secure in harsher weather.
10 Year Warranty
A 10-year warranty is not to be sniffed at considering the likelihood of severe weather during its lifespan. The reassurance of a warranty gives you peace of mind.
Palram has created a DIY carport that is easy to assemble. You don’t need DIY skills, training or specialist tools for the assembly of this carport.
All you need is 2 people and to follow the clear step-by-step instructions that are supplied. Your carport will be ready for your vehicle in no time.
Palram Verona 5000 DIY Carport Review
The Verona model differs slightly from the Arcadia 5000 carport in a few ways. The most notable difference is the size.
Being slightly smaller also means that this carport is slightly cheaper, so if you don’t have a large car this is almost certainly a better choice.
At 5m x 2.97m x 2.18m, this carport that’s slightly smaller in height and width. The length is more or less the same, so it depends on the car you own before buying.
The Verona has many features that are equally impressive as the carport above, and sometimes more so.
However, the curved design of the Arcadia 5000 carport may be a little more pleasing to look at than the flat roof panel design of the Verona 5000 carport.
Sliding Panel Assembly
This smaller carport option is incredibly easy to build. The step-by-step instructions are simple to follow and the sliding panels make assembly much simpler.
That doesn’t mean they have compromised the polycarbonate panels, though. It is still a carport that has been designed to be robust in all weather, all year round.
It’s just slightly easier for most people to build. Win-win!
Powder Coated Frame
Palram has created the frame using aluminium which has been powder coated to ensure that the frame remains rot and rust-resistant for years to come.
Aluminium is a smart choice for a frame and despite not being galvanised, you can rest assured your carport will remain strong in all weathers.
Bronze Tinted Polycarbonate Roof Panels
The bronze design stands out and the 6mm thick panels still offer 100% UV protection. They’re high-impact and shatter-resistant, so there’s no compromise.
It may only be a small thing to see polycarbonate roof panels that have been bronze-tinted, especially considering it only improves the aesthetics of the carport.
The anchoring kit included in the package is incredibly convenient for you.
Provided you have a level surface to anchor the four poles of the frame, then no additional work will need to be carried out before you erect the carport.
This means that for most people you should be able to erect the carport with no additional work so long as you have a driveway on which to put it.
Of course, it’s always best to check with the manufacturers before you purchase it.
Have plenty of room? Then why not try a Palram Patio Cover too
Palram Arizona Breeze 5000 Carport Review (2 Pole Arch Design)
If it’s a convenient carport you’re looking for, then look no further than the Arizona Breeze 5000 from Palram.
This innovative, uniquely designed carport is built with convenience at the forefront of Palram’s mind.
The two-pole structure means that the opposite side is completely open. This gives you plenty of options depending on what suits you and is a welcome feature.
But don’t let the two-pole design fool you into thinking that the structural integrity is compromised in any way – far from it.
It is still just as durable, and just as weather-resistant as the other Palram carports we have covered.
The best feature of this carport is the modern design. Curved roof, two poles, and all in a stylish grey, this carport really looks great in any driveway.
The two-pole open design of this carport gives you a range of options.
If you want to have the carport look as though it is a structure incorporated into the design of your house, then you could construct it close to an exterior wall.
If you want it to be free-standing, you can construct it away from the house which allows more room when parking your vehicle underneath it.
Long-Lasting Polycarbonate Panels
Polycarbonate panels are everything Palram is about, so you know they are only creating the best products when they use them.
This type of roof panel does not become brittle, weak, fracture or discolour over time. They’ll look their best from the moment you buy them until it’s time for a change.
Built For All Weather
As with the previous carports, this too has been built for all weathers, all year round.
But the reason we highlighted this specifically here, is that looking at the design you could be forgiven for thinking it wouldn’t stand up to weather well.
The 2 gutters still allow for proper drainage, the reinforced panels are strong and won’t break under heavy snow load, and provide protection against UV rays.
Potential To Be Used For Other Things
Palram market this structure as both a carport and an outdoor gazebo. You can use it to create an outdoor dining area or relaxation space when your car’s not using it.
Palram Atlas 5000 Carport Review (Curved Rust Resistant Roof)
With the unique design of the Arizona Breeze, we thought we’d bring it back to a more traditional design, and tradition is exactly what the Atlas 5000 is.
The corrugated polycarbonate panels are a familiar look that will blend with any property or vehicle, making the design cohesive with wherever you plan to erect it.
The curved roof is very traditional and functions really well by distributing snow load evenly and not allowing rainwater to sit and compromise the structure.
It is maintenance-free and won’t require additional treatments or maintenance work throughout its life to keep it looking great, which leaves you with one less job.
The four pole wide design allows for easy parking. This enhances the usability of the carport for most drivers because the wider the space to park is better for you.
This means that experienced and inexperienced drivers are capable of parking their vehicle beneath this carport without damaging the structure or your vehicle.
The frame is aluminium and has galvanised steel connectors for extra support. The frame is corrosion-resistant, resistant to rust, and incredibly robust.
The powder-coated aluminium frame will provide the frame with a longer lifespan. The powder coating is applied during production making it maintenance-free.
Once again, Palram is keen to point out that this is a product that can be reused once its life as a carport has come to an end for you.
With its weather resistance and UV protection, there are many things you can use it for.
Palram suggests a patio cover, but really the only limit is your imagination but it’s good to know that it has other uses than just for your car.
Palram Vitoria 5000 Carport Review (with Gutters)
The Palram Vitoria 5000 is a stylish and robust carport but also has a few notable features that the manufacturers really try to highlight.
This carport reduces 80% of light transmission, meaning that parts of your car won’t fade in the sunlight as easily as it may have done without a carport cover.
The opening at either side of the carport means that getting in and out of the vehicle is easy, and you won’t risk damaging it on the structure as you do so.
The aluminium frame has been powder coated to a basalt-grey finish, making it functional as an outdoor structure and incredibly stylish too.
The ground anchoring of this carport is especially robust, and it’s also incredibly easy to do from a DIY perspective if you have another person on hand to help you.
The anchor kit provided in the package is easy to do and will ensure that you have a secure structure that is long-lasting once built.
Again, Palram is thinking about how a carport needs to function in order to stay standing longer than the customer might expect.
Gutters help to do this and having them integrated in the design means people won’t leave them off either.
It’s in your best interests to have water drain properly from your carport, but gutter integration means they don’t stand out like drainpipes either.
It’s tall enough and wide enough to fit a variety of vehicles.
Of course, look into your specific vehicle to make sure it fits, but anything from a smaller two-door right the way up to a 7 seater should fit comfortably here.
This product is diverse enough to accommodate a variety of customers and their needs, showing how Palram put their customers first when designing these products.
10 Year Warranty
We thought we’d end on the biggest high of them all here – with the ten-year warranty again.
Now, it’s worth checking to make sure that they still offer this at the time you purchase, but most, if not all, of the products reviewed today offer a ten-year warranty.
This means you have increased confidence in the carport that you invest in. Whichever one you decide on, you know Palram has built a carport that goes the distance!
