The best part about all the carports is that they are DIY. That means no waiting around for someone to do it for you, so as soon as your product arrives you can set to work building it.

Palram Arcadia 5000 Carport Review (Strong and Sturdy Carport)
This specific Palram carport is very reasonably priced, and as we dig around the features a little more, we’re certain you’ll be just as impressed as we were. In fact, the stylish and heavy duty dark grey design will catch your eye instantly.
Besides that, the polycarbonate roof panels are, of course, virtually unbreakable, and they are great at keeping snow, rain, hail, sun – basically all weather – off your car. That’s right! It’s suitable for use year-round.
Assembly is particularly clear with this product, and the anchoring kit included helps to increase your certainty that they built the carport to last, so you won’t need to worry about replacing it for a long time.
They have designed the carport rather cleverly too, with a gutter on either side, the manufacturers have ensured that any rainfall, no matter how heavy, is free to flow off the roof panels preventing any unnecessary strain on the carport’s roof section.
Features
Appropriate Size
When we say this, what we’re really trying to say is that it more than does the job of a carport. With dimensions of 5.02m x 3.62m x 2.42m, we can confidently say that the vast majority of cars will fit under it without issue.
The size actually allows for some wriggle room when parking your car beneath it too, which is essential to ensure that you can park your car safely without risking damaging it or the structure.
Galvanised Steel Frame
The frame is a robust galvanised steel, which essentially just means that it’s sturdy and weather and rust-resistant, so again there’s no maintenance required once you have erected the carport.
The frame is also attached to the ground by 6 poles, which provides a secure base for the rest of the frame to be attached to. This just means that the frame is even more secure in harsher weather.
10 Year Warranty
You would hope to see a long warranty on a product such as a carport, but you’d be surprised by how few manufacturers display confidence in their product in this way.
A 10 year warranty is not to be sniffed at considering the likelihood of severe weather episodes during that lifespan, so you know your new carport is going to be standing for a long time.
Easy Assembly
Palram has created a DIY carport that is truly easy to do. You don’t need special skills, training, tools or professionals to help you with the assembly of this carport.
All you need is a free day, 2 people, and an ability to follow the clear step-by-step instructions that are supplied. If you have that, your carport will be up and ready for your vehicle in no time.
Palram Verona 5000 Carport Review (Easy DIY Carport Kit)
The Verona model differs slightly from the Arcadia 5000 carport in a few ways.
The most notable difference is the size. But, being slightly smaller also means that this carport is slightly cheaper, so if you don’t have a large car this is almost certainly a better choice.
At 5m x 2.97m x 2.18m, you’re dealing with a carport that’s slightly smaller in height and width. The length is more or less the same, so it really comes down to the car you own when deciding which is best for you.
It’s still an attractive grey design, although admittedly the curved design of the Arcadia 5000 carport may be a little more pleasing to look at than the flat roof panel design of the Verona 5000 carport option.
The Verona has many features that are equally impressive as the carport above, and sometimes more so. For one, we believe the sliding panel assembly design makes this an even easier DIY build.
Features
Sliding Panel Assembly
The major benefit of this slightly smaller carport option is it’s incredibly easy to build. The step-by-step instructions are simple to follow, but the sliding panels make the whole thing that much simpler.
That doesn’t mean they have compromised the polycarbonate panels, though. It is still a carport that has been designed to be robust in all weather, all year round.
It’s just slightly easier for most people to build. Win-win!
Powder Coated Frame
This time Palram has created the frame using aluminium which has been powder coated to ensure that the frame remains rot and rust resistant for years to come.
Aluminium is still an incredibly sound choice for a frame of this kind, so despite not being galvanised steel, you can certainly still feel confident that your carport will remain strong in all weathers.
Bronze Tinted Polycarbonate Roof Panels
It may only be a small thing to see polycarbonate roof panels that have been bronze tinted, especially considering it only improves the aesthetics of the carport, but it’s these small touches really matter.
The bronze design stands out, but the 6mm thick panels still offer 100% UV protection, and are high-impact and shatter-resistant, so you know they have made no compromise on the function of the panels themselves.
Anchoring Kit
The anchoring kit included in the package is incredibly convenient for you.
Provided you have a level surface on which to anchor the four poles of the frame, then no additional work will need to be carried out before you erect the carport.
This means that for most people you should be able to erect the carport with no additional work so long as you have a driveway on which to put it.
Of course, it’s always best to check with the manufacturers before you purchase it.
Have plenty of room? Then why not try a Palram Patio Cover too
Palram Arizona Breeze 5000 Carport Review (2 Pole Arch Design)
If it’s a convenient carport you’re looking for, then look no further than the Arizona Breeze 5000 from Palram.
This innovative, uniquely designed carport is built with convenience at the forefront of Palram’s mind.
The two-pole structure means that the opposite side is completely open. This gives you plenty of different design options depending on what suits you, and this versatility is certainly a welcome feature.
But don’t let the two-pole design fool you into thinking that the structural integrity is compromised in any way – far from it.
It is still just as durable, and just as weather-resistant as the other Palram carports we have covered.
Perhaps the best feature about this carport is the modern design, though. Curved roof, two poles, and all in a stylish grey, this carport really looks great in any driveway.
Features
Open Design
The two pole open design of this carport gives you a range of options.
If you wanted to have the carport look as though it is a structure incorporated into the design of your house, then you could construct it close to an exterior wall to make it look attached.
If you wanted the structure to be separate, you could construct it away from the house and allow yourself some more room when parking your vehicle beneath it – either way will look great.
Long Lasting Polycarbonate Panels
Polycarbonate panels are sort of what Palram does. It’s everything the company is about, so you know they are only creating the best products when they use them.
The best part about this type of roof panel is that they do not become brittle, weak, fracture or discolour overtime, so they’ll always look their best from the moment you buy them until it’s time for a change.
Built For All Weather
As with the previous carports, this too has been built for all weathers, all year round.
But the reason we highlighted this specifically here, is that looking at the design you could be forgiven for thinking it wouldn’t stand up to weather well.
The 2 gutters still allow for proper drainage, the reinforced panels are strong and won’t break under heavy snow load, and they still provide protection against UV rays whilst allowing natural sunlight through.
Potential To Be Used For Other Things
Yes, you’re here today to look at carports, so you want to hear about carports. But just stop for a moment and consider how often our tastes change.
That doesn’t mean you have to get rid of this carport when it’s old news, though.
Palram themselves market it as both a carport and an outdoor structure that you can use to lounge under or create an outdoor dining area, for example, so bare that in mind as you make this purchase too.
Palram Atlas 5000 Carport Review (Curved Rust Resistant Roof)
After the unique design provided by the Arizona Breeze option above, we thought we’d bring it back to a more traditional design again, and tradition is exactly what the Atlas 5000 is.
The corrugated polycarbonate panels are a familiar look that will blend effortlessly with any property and vehicle, making the design cohesive with wherever you plan to erect it.
The curved roof is again very traditional, but it also functions really well at distributing the weight of snow load evenly and not allowing rainwater to sit and compromise the structure, for example.
Once again, it is maintenance-free, so it won’t require any additional treatments or maintenance work throughout its life to keep it looking great, which just leaves you with one less job.
Features
Wide Design
The four pole wide design allows for easy parking. This just enhances the usability of the carport for most drivers, because the wider the space in which to park the better it is for you.
This means that experienced, inexperienced, old drivers, or new, are all capable of parking their vehicle beneath this carport with no worry about damaging the structure or your vehicle.
Reasonably Priced
Some products we have looked at do come with a slightly heftier price tag, but this one certainly isn’t unreasonable. Considering the attractive, traditional design, the price is probably right.
In fact, this sits at the cheaper end of the products that we have reviewed so far, and given that it shares many of the same features with the other products, it’s certainly worth considering.
Aluminium Frame
Once again the frame is aluminium, but it has galvanised steel connectors for extra support. The frame is corrosion resistant, resistant to rust, and incredibly robust.
The powder coated aluminium frame will provide the frame with a longer lifespan, and the best part is that the powder coating only needs to be applied once in production, which ensures you’re buying a maintenance free carport.
Multi-Purpose
Once again, Palram is keen to point out that this is a product that can be reused once its life as a carport has come to an end for you.
With its weather resistance and UV protection, there are many things you can use it for.
Palram suggest a patio cover, but really the only limit is your imagination should you ever decide to invest in a different carport, so it’s good to know that this is a versatile product.
Palram Vitoria 5000 Carport Review (Large Carport with Gutters)
The Palram Vitoria 5000 is a carport that’s just as stylish and robust as the others on this list, but it also has a few notable features that the manufacturers really try to highlight..
For example, this carport reduces 80% of light transmission, meaning that certain elements of your car won’t fade in the sunlight as easily as it may have done without a carport cover.
The opening at either side of the carport means that opening and closing your door to get in and out of the vehicle is easy, and you won’t risk damaging it on the structure as you do so.
The aluminium frame has been powder coated to a basalt-grey finish, making it not only functional as an outdoor structure, but incredibly stylish too.
Features
Ground Anchoring
The ground anchoring of this carport is especially robust, and it’s also incredibly easy to do from a DIY perspective if you have another person on hand to help you.
The ground anchoring kit provided in the package when it arrives is easy to follow and will ensure that you have a secure structure that is long lasting once built.
Integrated Gutters
Again, Palram is thinking about how a carport needs to function in order to stay standing longer than the customer might expect.
Gutters help to do this and having them integrated in the design means people won’t leave them off either.
It’s in your best interests to have water drain properly from your carport, but having it integrated into the design also means that they don’t stand out like ugly drainpipes on the side of the structure either.
Large Design
It’s tall enough and wide enough to fit a variety of vehicles.
Of course, look into your specific vehicle to make sure it fits, but anything from a smaller two door right the way up to a 7 seater should fit comfortably here.
This means the product is diverse enough to accommodate a variety of customers and their needs, showing how Palram put their customers first when designing these products.
10 Year Warranty
We thought we’d end on the biggest high of them all here – with the ten-year warranty again.
Now, it’s worth checking to make sure that they still offer this at the time you purchase, but most, if not all, of the products reviewed today offer a ten-year warranty.
This just means you can have increased confidence in the carport that you invest in. So, whichever one you decide on, you know Palram has built a carport that goes the distance!
